I am lucky enough to have two parks within five minutes walk of my home and beautiful woodlands within 15 and recently I have rediscovered the joys of the early morning run. Of late my metabolic conditioning has consisted mainly of sled and prowler work, kettlebells, battling ropes etc. and while I believe strongly in those conditioning methods, especially for strength or combat athletes and those wanting to lose weight, there is a primal, childlike joy to running that just can’t be beaten.
